The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) has confirmed how the bonus payment will be applied during April 2026, and a group of retirees and pensioners will stop receiving it. Under the current scheme, those with incomes exceeding 439,600.88 pesos will be directly excluded from the 70,000-peso bonus. In these cases, ANSES provides a proportional supplement, which is calculated as a top-up to reach a certain reference income. In other words, a smaller bonus is paid. The agency explained that this adjustment is made automatically in the monthly settlement without the need for any additional procedures. However, they recommended that beneficiaries check the details of their benefits, either through their payslip or by logging into the official platform, to know exactly how much they will receive. With these changes, the universe of bonus beneficiaries is reduced and is mainly concentrated among those with the lowest incomes within the pension system.
